D. Answer the following questions.
1. What is a symbol? Name the different types of symbols.
Ans: A symbol is reusable object used or created in Flash.
          There are three types of symbols :
           1.Graphic symbols.
           2. Button symbols.
           3. Movie clip symbols.

2. What is an instance in Flash?
Ans: A copy of a symbol used in any animation or a movie is called an instance.

3. Where are symbols Stored? How can they be used?
Ans: All symbols are Stored in the library.
           From the library they can be used by simply dragging and dropping them into the new animation being made.

4. Give two difference between graphic symbols and Button symbols.
Ans: Graphic symbols are reusable static images that can be used to create bnew animation. Whereas Button symbols are used to add interactivity to the animation, to respond to mouse clicks ,key press or other actions.

5. What is the purpose of the library? How can you show/ hide the library?
Ans: Using Ctrl+L or choose windows>Library to show the library and access the symbols.
