1. What do you mean by formatting a table?

Ans: Formatting a table means make it look more attractive by changing its colour and appearance using the table styles.

2. You have made a table and entered data in it .What happens when you go to AutoFit and click on Autofit Contents?

Ans: The AutoFit feature in word automatically fixes the width of a column according to the amount of data.


3.How would you change the width of a column without going to the ribbon at all?

Ans: To change the width of a column the place the cursor in the column whose width we want to change.After that we have click on Layout Tab under Table tools. Then in the cell Size group we need to enter the new column width or using the up and down row button to change the value.

4.Write the steps to add the numbers in a column in Word 

Ans: To add the numbers in a column in Word the required steps are as follows,
 
I) Place the cursor in the cell where we want the total at appear.
II) click on the Layout Tab under Table tools.
III) In the data group , click on Formula.
IV) In the Formula dialog box , the formula =SUM(ABOVE) is already displayed.
V) Click on ok dialog box. The total appears in the selected cell
